I finished knitting the cardi- now all I have to do is weave in 187 + loose threads,
sew the pockets up and add the buttons.
aaaand...... my intention was to set this up without Mimi
but she is photo bombing this whole thing
You just don't mess with a sleeping "tiger"
you know that look...what is yours - is mine.
So I decided to leave well enough alone
Mimi claimed the Barn sweater as hers...so you'll have to wait to see the finished version next week.
That's if Mimi will let me?
Starting a book my daughter recommended
this one has been on my list for a while.
Joining Ginny & Frontier dreams
i loved that book.....and was really really disappointed when i found out he had made up a good part of it. (it's still a good read, and last I heard, Mortenson is trying to redeem himself and his charity and the schools---so good for him.)
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see the sweater....freddy photobombs every picture i try to take, too. what is it with cameras, knits, and pets?
Oh Camilla, it's beautiful and I want to see you modeling it, that is when Mimi decides to give it up.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lot of ends to weave in, have fun with that :) Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteCute cat.
Just like a cat! How funny :)
ReplyDeleteMimi is lovely !!! (so is your sweater...)
ReplyDeletei love the cardi's colours - and mimi is absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the finished sweater!!!! It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what you think of the book, and I love the cat enjoying a sweater :)
ReplyDeleteYour Mimi is too cute! Funny, my cat hates having her photo taken so it works out week for me. As for your book, I'm with Steph, I was soo bummed when news came out about what really happened. Nevertheless it is worth reading if only to learn to be careful of how much we trust what we read. xo
ReplyDeleteMimi is adorable!! What Is it with cats and knitting?! One of my cats is currently bathing on my current knitting WIP. Rascal.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of ends, perhaps Mimi thinks she is helping? She is lovely ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful photo bomber - such a cutie! I have heard good things about that book. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteyay for the accomplishment of the cardi almost being done! My sister used to have a cat like this named Smokey. Gotta love our cats, they keep things interesting!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the sweater under the cat is lovely. The colors look gorgeous. She must really hate when you weave ends in. My golden retriever always lays on my in progress quilts when I need to pin the layers together.
ReplyDeleteMimi looks pretty determined ;-D.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see the finished sweater! Good luck with all the ends!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours for this sweater! And I can recommend the book also warmly! Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteYour photo's are so wonderful - and what a beautiful cat - my granfather had a farm with lots of cats and he always called the grey ones smokey! Looking forward to seeing you barn sweater - I'm going to make one just as soon as I find the right yarn.
ReplyDeleteMimi looks so plush & soft! What a beautiful coat she has & a lovely spot she chose to camp out. ;)
ReplyDeleteI read Three Cups of Tea over five years ago & despite all the controversy that now surrounds Greg's account, I still love the book. The companion children's book "Listen to the Wind" is absolutely beautiful.
Good luck with that book. I was so disappointed, I can't think about it without a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps try Lipstick Jihad instead. I found it much more palatable.

ReplyDeleteI love your barn sweater but I must admit, Mimi is the best! What a beautiful kitty you have!
ReplyDeleteMimi is such a cutie! She deserves a little nap-time on such a cosy looking sweater.
ReplyDeleteOh, Mimi's a cutie and, of course, a kitty needs to keep herself warm in the cold winter. I'm sure she appreciates you left it out for her.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Steph. I loved the book and was sadly disappointed in how he accomplished it and mishandled his charity, because I think it really would have been a worth while donation. Mimi thought you made it especially for her!
