Then there is light...
we are slowly unfolding our lives again
we are slowly unfolding our lives again
moving back into the kitchen
living a "normal" life once again
peaceful and quiet
familiar smells and sounds of our abode.
Gone are the days
of feeling displaced and awkward
amongst dust, power tools, contractors, people walking in and out
washing dishes outside with the garden hose
our table, chairs and couches on the porch
living room filled to the brim with cook wear
our table, chairs and couches on the porch
living room filled to the brim with cook wear
always on "red alert"
crossing our fingers that the dogs
don't walk on the newly varnished floor leaving permanent foot prints behind
don't walk on the newly varnished floor leaving permanent foot prints behind
not having water
or electricity
or electricity
nor a hot meal in 3 weeks
am I complaining?
No.
Uncomfortable and unfamiliar
Yes.
it was all worth it
no regrets
...and if it gets dark I can turn the light switch on!
I'm glad you are back in your home and things are returning to your normal. I am looking forward to seeing your new kitchen.
